♥ Kylie Jenner Lip Kits | New Shade Swatches!

Way back in November, Kylie Jenner released her first three liquid lipstick kits. I knew from the very first announcement I just had to have at least one, and if you read the post I wrote about them, you'll know that I was absolutely head over heels. When Kylie teased fans with the photos of the new shade Posie K, I was just as obsessed as I had been the first time. Posie was a beautiful, darker, dusty rose shade compared to the nudes she first released. I never expected her to do two more shades for what was first called the 'valentine' collection. I did predict the date and time she would put them on sale, though...

It wasn't actually all too hard to figure out when they would go on sale. After cryptic 'coming sooner than you think' posts on her Instagram, I suggested they'd be on sale the next day. At 5PM UK time, 9AM local time. I was right and the website has gone live at this time every time a batch has gone on sale. Like I said in my previous blog post, I was shocked I manage to get my hands on them again. I was stranded in Truro train station, travelling back to university from home and forgot about the time and what I planned to do. Somehow I had 3G and purchased the new shades. Every. Single. One.

(from left to right: lipsticks in Koko, Posie, Mary Jo and lipliners in the same order)

Koko K is a super pale pink nude and is perfect for every day. It's much lighter than the shades previously released. Posie K is a darker, dusty mauve pink and can pull a little bit purple (darker in shade than Candy K and Dolce K) and Mary Jo K is a true blue, classic red. I must admit, Mary Jo is a shade I did not expect at all, but I love it. It's the only one I haven't worn yet, because I'm terrified of red lips, but I couldn't say no to it. I believe the formula has changed slightly - they seem somewhat runnier - but not in a bad way at all. I can barely feel them on my lips and I believe they've lasted longer on the lips than the shades that were first released. They didn't ball or crumble up at all and I found the new shades easier to take off at the end of the day too. Maybe this is down to application, but the new formula makes the whole experience of wearing these much nicer. The liners are so so creamy and easy to apply that I favour them to my MAC ones so much so, I'm going to get rid of the MAC shades that they can replace.

I will say I find the process of buying and shipping them quite annoying. Last time I purchased, it was actually my boyfriend who managed to get me the kits, but this time I could check up on the tracking of my items and they were not dispatched until Tuesday afternoon (local time), even after being purchased Friday morning (local time). The delivery after dispatch took eleven days and I swear I checked the tracking information six times a day. They conveniently arrived on Saturday, which was my 21st birthday and they were so worth the wait, but I'm certain the shipping charge has gone up which is sneaky, but I can understand to some extent as much more went into packaging them up. There was enough padding in the boxes, and I haven't experienced a liner breaking like my Dolce liner did (this might be down to a nicer, creamier formula though) and the new design to the box which corresponds to the individual boxes, and the little card that they popped in, too. They have rebranded to 'Kylie Cosmetics' and in doing so have made the line seem so much more professional and less like a one off and have already hinted at further expansion - I'm thinking eyeshadows and lashes, but who knows! Kylie has even mentioned new shades through Twitter, in particular an orange shade which I am so, so excited for.

I hope you enjoy this post and I must apologise for the lack of posts in the last week... Writers block struck! Let me know your favourite shade from the collection in the comments!

    1. Haha I know, I don't know how I've done it! I was so scared about Koko, I thought it would be way too light for my skin tone but I quite like how it looks and I'm sure it'll look good with a tan, too! Thanks for commenting!x
