It was quite a while ago now, that I purchased the Pixi Glow Tonic glycolic toner. I was really really hesitant to spend just shy of twenty quid on a toner when it wasn't even a step in my skin care routine that I was implementing. But, if you've read my blog before I'm sure you've noticed me yap on about my very problematic acne over the past year. Acne was never something I struggled with growing up - or even in my late teenage years - but ever since I hit my twenties I've suffered from the what I would say is the worst acne breakout ever. It's probably not as horrendous as I think, but I've been desperate to try out products that might help and this seemed like the perfect product to kick start a change in my skin...
It would help if I could stick to a real skin care routine, though, wouldn't it? And that's why I'm writing a review on this such a long while after purchasing it. I just left it on the side and got really lazy with my skincare. It went untouched for weeks at a time. However, more recently I've been using this again and again and seeing visible results in my skin texture and tone.
The Pixi Glow Tonic has a mixture of skin saving ingredients, including 5% gylcolic acid, aloe vera and ginseng. It smells an absolute dream and a cotton pad lightly doused in this is a sure way to drastically change up the look of your skin. It's very refreshing and leaves skin feeling clean and stripped of all nasties, something that I absolutely love about it. Like the name suggests, it leaves a wonderful glow to the face and I believe it does help to promote the healing of problem areas and breakouts. It's a huge favourite of so many bloggers and it's because you will notice a difference. Now, I'm not saying you'll have perfect skin a day after using this, but after continuous use for an extended period of time (and that isn't actually very long for me) I always notice my skin beginning to clear up and redness and irritation decreasing. It stops skin from flaring up and has certainly encouraged me to look after my skin a little more and stick to an easy routine.

I keep meaning to try this out! It sounds like a cheaper alternative to my Avada glow tonic. Have you seen the Caroline Hirons and Pixi collab? Pixi are really making a name for themselves now, good for them!

My skin can get really irritated with harsh products, but this sounds really good!
