♥ 5 Wardrobe Essentials

I've never really been into clothes. Once I find something I like the look of, I'll stick with it. I very rarely change up my style and it's probably massively down to not being very comfortable with how I look, so I tend to wear dark colours and high waisted things to hide as much as possible. I do have some basic staple pieces, though, that I couldn't live without...

The Leather Jacket
I really don't like coats. I think they make me look really fat and they're much too bulky and heavy. Instead, I wear a simple leather jacket. I've had a few over the years. Topshop make greta real and faux leather ones, I have one from New Look that lasted me a couple of years and at the minute I'm wearing one from Marks and Spencers! A biker jacket is the easiest way to dress down a nice dress, I think, or to grunge up a girly look and I couldn't live without mine.

The Skinny Jean
I love my legs. I love showing them off and my Joni Jeans from Topshop are the best pair of skinny jeans I've ever owned. There are plenty of things I hate about them, though. How quickly they fade, how the tear at the groin, how they dig into my stomach sometimes... But I've owned around 10 pairs of these jeans, in various colours, and I can't not repurchase. Even if the price tag annoys me for how frequently I have to buy them.

The Crop Top
God knows how I got into crop tops, because I've never been skinny, but they make up the majority of my wardrobe. Since I always wear high waisted Joni Jeans, it's not really an issue. I have crop tops in all colours and styles, but H&M always kill it with their basics. They're my go to store when I need to stock up for holidays.

The Shirt
Every girl needs a nice, feminine shirt. Just in case. The last shirt I bought was for a job interview (to cover up my tattoos), but now I wear it all the time. It's nice and floaty and a great piece that can help avoid dressing up too much if you go out to a fancy restaurant.

The Trainers
Sometimes we just need to wear a really comfy trainer. They're perfect for long days out or days spent shopping and my Nike Roshe Run's have been my saviour. They're super comfy and I love the way they look - just don't wear them in rainy weather or you'll have soggy toes.

Let me know your wardrobe essentials, or where it is I should start shopping for some more. I'm a Topshop fiend but I don't really buy clothes very often so I'd love some inspiration!

  3. I really want a pair of Roshes! Right now I live in my Vans Slip Ons. They are all black leather, im pretty sure I wear them at least 6 days a week, then complain the day I don't lol, such a good investment!

I am also obsessed with shirts, but Leggings are my staple, and long length vest tops. I really wish I could buy a leather jacket, but I have short arms and they just annoy me lol
