♥ Beauty Bay Haul | Make Up Geek Shadows and Morphe Brushes

Over the bank holiday weekend, I had a little splurge on Beauty Bay. My basket had been pretty full for a while, and I kept going back and looking over the Make Up Geek shadows and picking shades out and finding excuses as to why I needed them. I was also desperate to try a few more Morphe brushes, so I bit the bullet and went a little overboard. Carry on reading to find out exactly what I bought.

Make Up Geek Shadows:
I ended up picking five new shades for my Z Palette, including my first foiled shadow from the brand - High Wire. It's a beautiful silver and I thought this would be absolutely perfect for all of the end of degree events I have coming up! I can't wait to have a play with this, I think it'll look great with a classic winged liner and lashings of mascara. Next up, I bought one of the new shades, Anarchy. It's a  pink/red shimmer shade and I think it'll be great in winter, or for a really nice colourful, smokey eye of an evening. I also picked up Roulette, which is a shimmer too, but a bit more bronze. I picked up two mattes, Cupcake, a medium dusty pink and Cherry Cola a really warm brown with red undertones. I probably didn't need these two mattes, as I have the matte Morphe palette, but I just thought they were so unique!

Liners:
I bought two liners, one Make Up Geek Full Spectrum eye liner in the shade Nude. This goes on so smoothly and doesn't tug around the eye. Once it's on, it doesn't budge - even in the waterline. I was also desperate to try some make up from Zoeva, and I picked up the Graphic Eyes liner in the shade Good Karma, a vibrant green with a blue undertone. Again, it's nice a creamy and glides right onto the skin! This one is nice and bright and glittery and I bought it for those days when I want to do something dramatic on my lower lash line - maybe a user matte nude lid, black winged liner and this smudged along the lower lash line. I can't wait to put this into a makeup look.

Morphe Brushes:
I couldn't buy all those shadows and not get any brushes to use with them! I have one Morphe brush, but because they're so affordable I was itching to try out some others from the brand. I bought this large tapered blending/crease brush - the Morphe M504 that cost £5.50 - and I think it'll rival my Zoeva blending brushes because of the shape. It's much bigger and way more tapered than any other blending brush I have, so this will be ideal for blending out transition shades and colours in the crease. I've also found myself applying shadow under the lower lash line a whole lot more, recently, so I decided I'd pick up a smaller, more precise pencil brush for that reason. The Morphe M431 is smaller than my Zoeva pencil brush, so I hope this will place product exactly where I want it and maybe even help me perfect a cut crease. This one cost £3.95 which is insanely cheap!

Bdellium Tools Brush:
Ever since Beauty Bay started stocking this brand I have heard their name everywhere. I don't know whether that's just because I recognise it now, but I've been so intrigued as they're another super cheap and affordable brush brand. I picked out this small shader brush - the 772 from their studio line! I'm after some MAC glitters and other pigments and I think a flat shader brush is exactly the sort I need to pack glitters right onto the lid, so this will probably come in super handy for that.

Mario Badescu Freebies:
As ever, Beauty Bay graced me with some pretty cool sample size freebies with my order. With the big Beauty Bay birthday haul I did I picked up two other MD samples, and I'm enjoying getting a good feel for the brand so when I found I could have some more I was all for it. I got the Glycolic Acid Toner and the Glycolic Foaming Cleanser. As my skin is still pretty dreadful at the minute, I thought that they may help kick my cystic acne's butt. I'm thinking I might do an in depth review on the Mario Badescu freebies I've picked up because I think they're really popular at the minute, so let me know if you'd like to see that.

Sorry I totally forgot to swatch the liners and take a photo to include in this post! What's in your basket on beauty bay right now? Also, if you've tried anything from any of these brands that I haven't mentioned I'd love to know so I know what to try out next time!

Em x

    1. The make up geek shadows are insanely good - way better than my mac ones.

I'm a little worried about how the morphe brushes will perform, but the other one I have is great so they can't be too bad! x

    1. That's such a shame that you've avoided it. I've ordered off BB like five times (and they've all been rather expensive shops) and I've got nothing but great things to say about them. They package everything up really well, nothing has ever arrived broken or damaged. It all comes the next day - even if I make the order on a Sunday afternoon, and the free samples you get aren't always samples - sometimes they offer full size products. I had all this stuff in my basket for like two weeks, kept on going to check out and I could have chose another MUG eyeshadow as my freebie, but I held off and didn't purchase when it was available.. Beauty Bay is so worth it, in my opinion.. all their Morphe stuff is cheaper than on Cult Beauty, too!

  7. Aaaaah I love beauty bay halls! And I also have that Morphe big fluffy brush and I think I love it just as much as my MAC 217, was so surprised to love it so much! It has quickly become a favourite :) I am loving the MUG picks too, I really need to go for more reddy, pink shades next time, but I am way too obsessed with warmer tones!
