♥ Easy Autumn Eyes | Ft. Make Up Geek and Zoeva

Now that Autumn is upon us, warm orange toned eyes are much more acceptable and seasonally appropriate than they were a few weeks ago. Orange is my go-to colour at the minute when it comes to eyes and more often than not I start off a subtle brown smoky eye with an orange or peach toned transition. I just can’t get enough and there are a bunch of shadows from Make Up Geek that make my everyday look super easy to achieve. All you need are three somewhat fluffy brushes and three shadows. It's very neutral, too and only takes me a few minutes to do.

I used to rely on my MAC Paintpot as a base for shadows, but sadly it’s dried out just a touch too much and started to separate on the eyes, so for now I use concealer and translucent powder to create a blank canvas on the eyelid. With a Soft Definer brush from Zoeva (227) I buff Beaches and Cream (1) into my crease, being liberal and going just under and just over the area of the eye I usually would – pulling the shade just up to my brow bone and slightly onto the eyelid. To deepen the look I then apply the shade Crème Brûlée (2) more concisely into the crease and buff it out towards the outer v of the eyelid with Zoeva’s Soft Crease brush (221) which is a touch longer and thinner than the 227, and helps keep the darker shadow concentrated in the crease. Finally, I take the medium brown eyeshadow shade Frappe (3) and buff that lightly into the outer v with the Zoeva Crease brush (228). This brush has a slim, tapered end and is ideal for adding extra depth into the outer v and deposits shadow in a much more concentrated area than the other two brushes – which is exactly why I find it perfect as a final step in this look. If I’m feeling super tired, I use this brush and a mixture of the shadows to add colour on my lower lash line. Finally, I take the Soft Definer and the first transition/base shade – Beaches and Cream – and buff out any harsh edges and blend everything together.

This look is super easy and so wearable. It takes five minutes and with the use of Zoeva’s fluffy crease brushes blending shadows out is really easy and the look is so seamless, but there’s still an obvious transition because of the shades used. Zoeva and Make Up Geek just have to be two of my favourite affordable brands at the minute. They always perform incredibly and they can do no wrong. Pick either brand up at BeautyBay!
