♥ Beauty Bay/Make Up Geek Haul

As mentioned in Wednesday's post, it was my birthday in February and my lovely boyfriend treated me to whatever I wanted on Beauty Bay - after he'd made an order of his own for my other birthday presents! I was pretty chuffed he decided to do this as he'd already been so generous and treated me to a Morphe palette and the original Urban Decay Naked palette, but I took the opportunity to get some of the Make Up Geek eyeshadows I've been desperate for ever since the website started stocking them. They even gave me the option of having it gift wrapped, for free, due to Mothers Day, which was a cute touch and I'm sure the box will come in useful to contain some of my make up collection!

Of course, I couldn't get any Make Up Geek shadows without purchasing a Z Palette to keep them all neat and tidy, so I opted for the large white one. It's much nicer than I had anticipated, it's not just matte white cardboard, but it has a lovely shimmer to it and is so sturdy and well made. I'm really, really impressed with it. It's a must have for any make up hoarder. Now, the Make Up Geek shadows are products I've been aware of for such a long time, I don't know why I didn't buy them sooner. They are so affordable (not when you buy them in bulk, though) and every blogger I read or watch raves about the quality of them. The shades I picked up are Shimma Shimma, Creme Brûlée, Twilight, Prom Night, Bitten, Burlesque and two duo chrome shades in Ritzy and Havoc. The only shade I've managed to use on the eyes as of yet is Creme Brûlée and it's the perfect transition shade, and blends so nicely. I can tell how lovely they're all going to be from swatching them, though. The texture of each shade is so soft and they're all really pigmented, which is shocking to me as they come in at under five pound each - half the price of one MAC shadow - but are the same, if not better, in quality. I also bought the Morphe G20 brush, as the synthetic brushes should be perfect for packing glitters and pigments onto the eyelids and Manny MUA sang its praises in a video. As ever, because of the perks of spending on Beauty Bay I ended up with a free sample, too. I opted for the Blender Cleanser,   as I have a Beauty Blender and I'm intrigued to see if their own cleansing solution is any better than the Dr Bronner's soap I use.

I don't think my swatches of the two duo chrome shadows do them justice at all and I honestly don't think it'll be too long until I make my next order of MUG shadows. They're so so lovely and I can't wait to play around with my own customisable palette. Let me know your favourite shadows from the brand in a comment to give me ideas for my next purchase. Thanks for reading!
